Therapeutic Massage

A massage based on Clinical Techniques geared towards treating the underlying causes of chronic Pain while restoring the body’s natural healing processes. A therapeutic massage addresses areas of dysfunction, limited range of motion, pain, stiffness and minor injuries or ongoing tensions. Using medium to deep pressure a combination of modalities (ex: Myofascial, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy, etc) are used and are based on the client’s needs and treatment Goals.

Deep Tissue
Massage
Deep tissue massage is similar to a therapeutic massage, but goes farther. It targets the inner layers of your muscles, tendons, and fascia (dense connective tissue). Deep tissue massage uses many of the same stroking and kneading movements as therapeutic massage, but more pressure. This pressure can sometimes be painful. Deep tissue massage is best for athletes, runners, and people with injuries. It can also work for people with chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and lower back pain.

Chair Massage
Chair Massage is performed with the client fully clothed and seated on a specialized massage chair. Perfect for someone who is unable or uncomfortable laying on a Massage Table for an extended period of time or for someone who has a short amount of time but still would like a fulfilling massage experience. Some oil or lubrication may be applied in areas where skin is exposed (ex- neck, hands, forearms).

Reiki
Reiki is a hands on, energetic healing modality that utilizes universal life force energy to aid clients into a deep state of relaxation. The practitioner will begin at the head and move to different energetic junctions or Marma points in the body. Clients often experience a tingling, pulsating sensation and heat. Reiki can help ease symptoms of stress, anxiety and burnout associated with modern living.

Emotion Code
The Emotion Code is an energy healing modality that uses applied kinesiology and muscle testing to recognize trapped emotions and release them from the body one by one. During a session, the practitioner will begin with a brief meditation and breathwork. Then the practitioner will ask yes or no questions until an emotion is found and then released. Trapped emotions are charged emotional responses that have become stored in the body due to the overwhelming nature of the experience would not allow the conscious mind to logically recognize the emotion and process it. The emotional baggage that we feel is each one of those trapped emotions to some degree being continuously felt in our day to day existence.
